The wool fleece is knitted from 100% organic merino wool and brushed to create its soft, fluffy texture. Engel’s wool fleece is wonderfully soft, flexible and just the right thickness. It provides warmth while allowing your baby to move freely and comfortably.
Why choose a wool fleece overall instead of a conventional padded synthetic overall?
A padded synthetic overall can be thick and bulky, making it more difficult for your baby to move freely. Synthetic materials also do not manage moisture in the same way as wool. If your baby gets warm and sweaty, the moisture can cool down inside the overall, leaving your little one feeling cold.
Wool is breathable and, unlike synthetic materials, retains its insulating properties even when damp. This means that a small nappy leak is less of a concern.
How to choose the right size?
The suit generally runs big. 50/56 is perfect for your newborn up to 4-5 months or so. The 62/68 is better for 4m+ up to around 8m depends on your baby’s length. 74/80 I’d say is perfect for a 1y old (from 10m or so). The arms and legs are quite long and can easily be folded since the wool fabric is very flexible and light.
